"Where's the Mullet"?

No... these aren't pictures from the 80's... just a little trip down memory lane we had on Friday night! We did a "host and hostess" dinner at our ward building, and Dan & I hosted a table... it was the "80's Prom Night" Table! Some other tables included, the "BYU/UTAH" table, the "Brazilian" table... etc...It was so much fun! Everyone wished they were cool enough to sit at our table!!! It was RAD! (or as Scott put it... It was like..."Killer")
We had BBQ chicken, pork chops, baked potatoes, salad, and rolls. (Thanks for the delicous rolls Jennifer!) We also had a table with a punch bowl (of course) and cheese cake and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert!
I think the highlights of the evening had to be the "80's trivia" and getting pictures taken with our "dates" by the backdrop we made. (Everyone needs pictures at prom!) We even had a few people come over from other tables to get their picture taken... and as you can see, Dan's mullet was a big hit!

Dan and I having our romantic night out captured forever... I tried really hard to get my hair to go "big" but I don't have bangs anymore... no "claw" but we got the mullet!

Shane and Jennifer Davis... our neighbors and friends! He was like... so knowledgable about 80's trivia... He won the prize and saved himself a little money on Valentines gifts for Jennifer!

Duane and Lindsey Ferkovich... We love you guys! Lindsey is due in April with their 4th child... 3rd girl! They have the cutest kids ever!!! (I wonder if she'll get her dad's hair?!)Even though they didn't graduate in the 80's, they had older siblings that did and were very informed on the "culture"...we loved your "pegged pants" Duane!

Scott and Paula Jorgenson! It was really fun getting to know you guys better too! When talking about where we graduated and when, I found out she graduated in Racine, Wisconsin which is right next to Kenosha where my sister currently lives! Notice the corsage and boutonniere... I made those myself, thank you very much!

Jeff and Kristin Perry... they were actually at the BYU/UTAH table... but they had to get a picture taken! They are adorable! She is also due in April... their 3rd child...and 3rd girl! McKenna LOVES them... and babysits for them when ever she gets the chance! They are SO much fun!!!!!! He was the one wearing the mullet at the beginning! What a fun evening... definitely more fun than my first senior prom! ( I REALLY liked my date this time! maybe it's the real thing?!)

Family Ski Trip

Our friends, the Bond Family, invited us to go stay with them in a Condo in Deer Valley (Park City) two weekends ago. We decided that it was time for the girls and I to learn to ski... however once we were up there, we realized it was going to be an impossible feat for Dan to get all three of us down the hill at once... so he took turns with the girls, and next time we will put them in private lessons, and he can teach me. Here are some fun pictures of the kids skiing!

Marks kids and our girls ready for a day of fun!! They are pro's... I love the helmets!

This one of Courtney is so adorable! She posed for me on the staircase when I was taking pictures of the awesome place we stayed!

Courtney and I taking a self-portrait while Kenna was taking a turn on the slopes!

I love the "Courtney Pose"!! She was looking like a true "snow bunny" with her shades on!

Kenna on her 2nd run down the hill... Dan is so talented skiing backwards guiding her down!

Courtney's turn! She just realized while watching me post this that he was skiing backwards! She just said..."Wow! He is sooooo good at that! I had a hard time going frontwards!!!!" She really picked up on the skiing thing, and can't wait to go again!
