Down at the bus stop... she didn't even know Courtney and I were on the deck taking pictures!
Later I drove by the school and took some pictures when I went out to run errands. This is only the second year it has been open...
One view of the front doors... Go Westlake Thunder!

She is gorgeous!!!!!! Watch out boys at Harvest Elementary! Courtney Floyd is on her way! Look at that hair!
Playing on the Lake August 2010
We decided to head out to the lake with the boat... we haven't had much time to play this summer! The girls brought their friends... Kenna brought Mallory and Courtney brought Camilla... we went up to Deer Creek. Beautiful!!!
Courtney and Camilla... BFF's Forever!!
Kenna & Mommy Date 2010
When Kenna started Jr. High, we started a tradition... right before school we went on an overnight date and talked about her concerns, what she was excited about, etc... and did a little school shopping. It was so fun, we wanted to do it again before she started High School.
So on August 20th she and I headed to the Hilton for a night of fun! It is always such a joy to spend time with my girl! She is an amazing and beautiful person inside and out! She is going to be GREAT this year!
The T-shirts, Scrubs, and Necklaces....
Monday: Arrival at camp. The Lake, JUMP TEAM, and FHE with the Stake Presidency!
Girls Camp 2010: We're here!!!!! Our theme for camp this year is "GOT COURAGE?" We also did everything in "black and white" to help the girls realize that the choices they have to make in their lives are black and white...there is no gray area. They have to have courage and do the hard things. We did our t-shirts white with black writing on them, and black scrubs. All of our signs were in black and white. It was all so beautiful...and the girls LOVED it! On the morning of camp we (Jennifer, Dan, Brenda Ninow, and I) had arrived early so we could take these items to each cabin and welcome the girls to camp. In the black and white bags, we had t-shirts for everyone, on the table we put their water bottles, their ward flag, and OREO'S with a letter I had written explaining our theme, our stake theme (OREO'S: Obedient, Righteous, Examples, of Our Savior) and telling them how excited we were to spend this week at camp with them! Jennifer, her sister Kristin (who lives in Arizona) and I, spent so much time putting all of these things together...and it was totally worth it!
The girls arriving and trying to find their bags and bedding at the pavillion...
The luggage truck...
Kristin Perry, Mallory Ferkovich, Kamree Randall, and Christy Taylor grabbing their bags and off to find the rest of 7th Ward and their cabin...
Opening Flag Ceremony... We as a Stake wore red scrubs and white t-shirts with got courage in red on them...
The girls were so excited! It was a perfect day already!
Having fun...
A beautiful devotional...
The missionaries got the guys...Dan, Bro. Steve Wirthlin, Shane Davis, and Bishop Davis to help the girls remember to obey all the rules... Give me an "O"...Give me a "B"...Give me an "E".... Give me a "Y"... What does that spell? "OBEY!"
The cute YCL's doing their thing...
The 7th Ward dropping us off a big jar of Kristin's famous Toffee. Wish I could have had some!
The 4th years down at the lake playing in the sand while they were waiting to go on the lake...
The beautiful lake...
How lucky are we to get to spend time here...
Some of the girls out on the lake...
The girls enjoying the canoe's...
5th ward girls...smile! Your mom is going to see this!
Allison "Skip", Kerriann, and Kerri Robbins enjoying a paddle boat. It was right after this that we (Jennifer and I) tried to race them back and broke the peddle in our boat. We had to be rescued by Shane and another Priesthood holder in a canoe. It was hilarious!!! We decided that instead of "Triple A" we had to call "Double P". It was a very memorable experience!
Two cute girls cleaning the bathrooms as a surprise and act of service for their ward.
We dropped in to say hi to 7th ward while walking around to "repo" scrubs and t-shirts...
This quilt...sorry it's sideways...was made by "foxy Roxie" and her mom so that the girls could leave all of us, the missionaries, and the priesthood letters for our camp annuals.
Time for dinner! 5th Ward had kitchen duty and serving for the evening...
We decided to make the missionaries feel special by setting a special place for them at meal time and using real dishes. These cute missionary couples serve all summer and live in their camp trailers. I doubt they eat off of "real" dishes very often.
They teared up when they realized it was for them... and just couldn't believe it! Then they told us. "It is one thing to say you are grateful...it's another to show it!"
Shane with our amphitheater banner... Got Courage?!
Lorri Moore from 7th Ward...
The YCL's... getting us ready for our evening flag ceremony and Family Home Evening...
Our Stake Flag and Banner....
Jurnee Wallin, Megan Tabares, and Kylee Moore...CUTE!!!
Our AWESOME JUMP TEAM!!!!!! This was our entertainment for the evening...and they did such a great job! Paula Jorgenson helped them prepare (for months!!!) and they were amazing!
