Courtney, Camilla, and Eli enjoying the fire and roasting marshmallows!
Sorry this one is sideways...still working on figuring that one out! McKenna, Courtney, Camilla, and Eli settling in on the bunk beds in their bedroom. This started out fun....but Courtney fell off in the middle of the night, and was lucky not to have gotten hurt. We need to put up some kind of rail for the little kids.
Saturday was a crazy day... the Cutlers stayed until about noon, we followed them to Oakley so we could call and check on the Davis family and make sure they were still coming up for the rest of the weekend. About 45 minutes before we left to head home for Dibabe Newman's baptism, the Davis family rolled in. We rushed home, showered, and headed to the Stake Center. When it was over, we headed back up to camp. The Davis family was anxiously awaiting our return. We had dinner, roasted some marshmallows and went to bed. The next morning was Sunday so we had a small "devotional" service. We had Courtney and Jonah give talks...Dan shared his story "Daniel on the River", and Camilla led the music. It was really nice and helped us start the day right. We will find a church to attend in the future if we are gone camping on Sunday. We always do when we travel and we certainly felt the difference.
Courtney giving her talk. Jonah was trying to block the sun for her...
Jennifer listening and enjoying the devotional...
Camilla leading the music... she inherited her talent from her mom for sure!!!
Heading out on a little walk...
Playing in the river...
Courtney taking a little break... enjoying the view.
The whole group enjoying the river...
Eating lunch and playing some games...
Just after finishing scriptures... they wanted to play a game...and Courtney making her "nacho libre" face...

Labor Day 2010
We decided we needed to get away for a few days...and actually use our trailer at least ONCE this year! We have been a little busy!We headed up to "Smith and Moorehouse" for a long 5 day weekend. It was a much needed escape...and we loved having time as a family!
Everyone laughs at me...but I "decorate"! This is our bedroom. Our little "home away from home."
Our kitchen/family room area. It is so nice to have a fridge and bathroom... now this is camping!
Courtney set up her toys as soon as we got there. She can entertain herself easily...and we love to sit nearby and listen. Very entertaining for us too!
Don't get excited Dan...these are Courtney's toys... She had set them up and I thought this would make a great picture. She had her people go out hunting... she is her fathers daughter.
Good choice in shirts Courtney... you should wear that whenever you want to ask Dad for something. How could he resist?!
Enjoying some s'mores... these were the most giant marshmallows I have ever seen. They were too big if you ask me...but we had fun trying!
One tradition that Courtney has, is building a "fort" near our trailer. It looks like it is on fire...but that is just a lantern. She loves to invite us in for visits.
She and Dad having a chat on Friday. So cute!
We bought this hammock in Costa Rica and usually have it hanging on our deck, but we also bring it along when we go camping. I think Kenna spent the entire day Friday in it reading...
The artist Courtney coloring a picture to welcome Camilla and her family up later that day...
Here is the picture... Welcome Cutler family!
The Davis family was supposed to come up that night too, but had some big problems with their trailer. The Cutlers brought Camilla up, and decided to stay the night in our trailer with us. Here is Eli... He LOVED the fire!
Yummy... It doesn't get much better than that!

Fun weekend!
I like how in almost every picture Courtney is making some kind of face or pose.
Her picture was great and I think it's pretty hilarious and fun that she has themed camping toys.
I would have been McKenna hanging out in that hammock reading
Such cute photos! It looks like you guys had a really great time! Courtney is hilarious! And I think Cheryl said it for me, too...I think laying in a hammock and reading would be really fun!
Thanks for the invite. Although we had a difficult time getting there, once we were there, it was fabulous! We need to do it again soon!
