Day 3... Our 18th Anniversary!

Eighteen years ago today... I married my very best friend! It has been an incredible journey...and I can't wait to see where we are and what adventures we are having in another 18 years! Dan, thank you for filling my life with love, happiness, and two beautiful daughters. What more could I ask for? I am the luckiest girl in the world!

This morning we got up and packed our things and headed out towards the airport. We had decided that we would attend sacrament meeting before catching our plane to the Big Island. I found a ward that was only about 10 minutes from the airport...and they started at 8:30 am... so it was early enough to make it work! The Bishop was really disappointed when he found out we weren't "new members of the ward."

Here is a final look at Oahu on the way to church and the airport...

After church we broke our fast and grabbed some food after getting through security... what a lovely anniversary meal with our carry-on suitcase as a table...
Our flight was great...and sooooo fast! Here are some of our new best friends from the flight...
After arriving at the airport and picking up our rental car we headed up the Kohala Coast towards our house...
It is so beautiful here... and the most interesting landscape. There is lava rock everywhere!

Here is a shot from behind our house...
Here is one shot of part of the entrance into our home. This is a private courtyard...
Here is a picture of our patio and private pool. We will take some pictures of the inside of this amazing house tomorrow...

This is down at our resort beach...
Isn't it gorgeous?! It is exactly what I pictured Hawaii to look like...
The sandy "lagoon" area... in the distance you can see the restraunt that we will be having our anniversary dinner at tonight...

I took this shot with the palm trees behind him. It was starting to get dark... but I like this shot of him anyway...

A cute couple took this shot of us together... again, the lighting isn't the best... but I like it anyway!
This turtle looks dead in this picture... but I promise he was moving and had his eyes open just moments before! He gives a whole new meaning to the word slow!
We took this picture at dinner... just beautiful. What an amazing place!
I ordered a $14 green salad to start my meal... what the heck is this?!
Dan took this amazing picture while we were eating...
And this one...
It has been such an incredible day. One I will never forget. I miss my girls so much, but I know that they are having a wonderful time with their Grandma and Grandpa King! I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring...

Stephanie...I can't believe i talked with you for a minute and didn't wish you a Happy Anniversary! After I got off I thought "darn"...but didn't have the heart to take the phone back from the girls! They are doing wonderful and we are having such a fun time...just love them so much! I have gotten so many comments on how beautiful they are. In fact I got an email from one of my counselors just a bit ago and she said the girls seemed to "be glowing"! We are so glad you are having such a wonderful time! It is beautiful there! Have fun!
