Floyd Family Christmas Party : December 7th & 8th

This year for the Floyd Family Christmas Party, it was decided that we needed to do something totally different. With having lost Fred this year, we needed to make some fun family memories and get Denice out of the house!

Travis and Amy had gone to some different cabins in the Timberlake area above Heber with her family so we decided that would be a great place to go. We rented a cabin for Friday and Saturday nights. Dan had to come back home for a "special meeting" where Elder Scott came and spoke to Bishops and Stake Presidents in our area. Because of the bad weather and amount of snow up where we were, Dan left at about 3:30 in the morning and didn't get back until about 4:00 in the afternoon. He said the meeting was amazing and totally worth drivng all the way back home for.

Friday night we all visited for a little bit before opening gifts...

Dan's mom took a moment to let everyone know what she expected of them while we were staying here... and that everyone was responsible for their own children... "you" break it, you pay for it.
 Austin makes a lovely clown...
McKenna got a gift card from her cousin... all teenagers love gift cards!
Then we made all of the kids go upstairs to the loft to play.... while we did a giant white elephant gift game...
Greg and Angie... don't they make a lovely couple...
 Creepy Elf?....
Saturday I couldn't keep Courtney away from the pool table. It is all she wanted to do! I can't remember why she drew on the mustache with a marker.... weird...
Saturday night the kids got to play a fun game...

First they pulled out all of the kleenex from a box...
Then we put 3 (or more? I don't remember for sure) ping pong balls in the boxes....
And then duct taped them to their back sides...
Turned on some music and they had to try to shake the balls out of the boxes...
The littles wanted to try too.... this game was hilarious!!!! And the kids loved it!!!
Sunday morning we headed home... what a fun few days with the family! This is what we came to know as "Travis Pass"... on our way up Friday this is where we found him off the road in his Tahoe. It was too late to pull him out so we decided to wait until Saturday when it got light. Unfortunately he was towed late Friday night... $600 later he got his Tahoe back... not the best moment of the weekend!
