I started off this morning making my cute family home-made blueberry muffins and fruit. I also got these cute little "Back to School" treats for the girls. It was great to have a nice family breakfast and family prayer to start the day off right. I am grateful Dan was able to give our girls "father's blessings" last night before bed. I think it comforted me as much as it did them!

Back to School: August 2011
I can't believe that the kids went back to school today... in fact my sweetheart just called to see how I was doing. (How sweet is he?!) I am excited for the structure the school year provides. I love that Fall is just around the corner. I am looking forward to watching football with my man. But I miss my girls already. It is way too quiet around here!

Courtney was loving the muffins and treats...
Our beautiful High School Sophomore... McKenna!
How is it possible she is already a Sophomore? I can't believe how much she has grown up this summer...
McKenna and her friend Kamree....
I love that I can further embarrass her by taking pictures of them from the deck as they walk to the bus stop!...They are both used to me and would expect nothing less!

they both look so cute!
I love the muffins idea I think I will have to do that.
What was in the back to school survival thing? I was thinking about making something like that for Abi.
I can't believe I will be doing a post like this next week!
Theses are the items in the "Going Back To School Survival Kit:
"Watch (tiny plastic one): "to make sure you are always on time."
Ruler: "So you can measure up to your best."
Pencil: "To practice your ABC's"
Smarties: "To help you with your homework."
Eraser: "To erase any fears you have."
Candy (mini chewy Sweetarts): "To sweeten your day."
Thanks for sharing your girls "first day back to school"! But where is the photo of you with tears in your eyes!?! I know they were there! Yes, I experienced that with each one of you kids! It was great to know you were going to be learning things...but letting you go was a hard one! I feel your pain! :-)
