This morning we had to get up REALLY early to head to the airport. We had to return our Tahoe... which we had put over 1800 miles on! We first flew to Minnesota and then headed for Salt Lake. It was a great flight, and went really fast because we were on the laptop the entire time trying to figure out Dan's family history. A beautiful shot out the window...
Dan and Courtney on the shuttle from the airport to our car. We were exhausted... but in a good way! We could have flown home in the evening, but we wanted to get home early so we could unpack and Dan could rest before having to go back to work tomorrow. We celebrated the 4th by going down to the Davis's (Thanks Jen) and having a hamburger. She realized that we probably didn't have any food in the house being that we had been gone so long (true) and that we probably couldn't stomach the thought of eating out again. (also true) We watched the fireworks from our deck... getting a little nervous at what some people were setting off in the park across the street from our house. HELLO! Had they not seen the fires all week... including the huge one burning up the canyon in Alpine?! It was a wonderful day... a wonderful 13 days... and we are so grateful to live in this wonderful country!

I just finished going through all of your photos of your fantastically wonderful trip!! It was so much fun to feel a part of the things you did and the places you saw...many we recognized from our trip to Nauvoo a few years ago! Thanks for sharing the photos and the dialogue with us. I thought I would just comment on the last post ( I think I posted on another comment section?)as there was so much to see and I just wanted to keep going! So glad you got to see Cheryl and her family, have choice experiences in Nauvoo, Winter Quarters, and the other places you visited. And we are so glad you had a safe trip and are home safe and sound! Aren't trips great!?!
