Day 11... Today I am thankful for my sweetheart.

He doesn't just show me he loves me... he shows the world. I have never had to wonder how he talks about me when I'm not around. He is my BEST friend. He always wants to hold my hand. He rubs my shoulders and back when I get knots in them. Even if he would rather eat seafood, he usually always suggests Mexican when we go out to eat because he knows I love it. Even though he is probably the busiest person I know, tonight he offered to start making dinner once a week just to give me a break. (and he promises not to bring home fast food!) He puts up with my pre-menstrual mood swings... and then pretends he is shocked when I "start". (and says something like... "I didn't see that coming!"...yeah right!) He is not just telling our girls what they should look for in a husband... he is showing them. He honors his priesthood and will ALWAYS put on a shirt and tie if the call comes that he is needed to assist in giving a blessing. He always laughs when I act goofy...and thinks I'm funny. Even when no one else thinks I'm funny. He works really, really hard so I can stay home with our girls and take care of our home. He will pass on hanging out with anyone else... if it means spending more time with me. I love the lines he gets by his eyes when he smiles. When I was really sick with the flu and I didn't have the strength to reach up and scratch an itch I had on the end of my nose... he scratched it for me. I'm pretty sure he didn't want to... and that he washed his hands with boiling water and used a gallon of hand sanitizer afterwards... but he did it anyway. He calls me in the middle of the day just to tell me he loves me. When people think of him they think of me. When they think of me they think of him. It's not Dan. It's not Steph. It's Dan AND Steph. And we will live happily ever after... and that's not the end.

That was so beautifully said! And as your mother I am so grateful that my beautiful, wonderful, and precious daughter has a husband like that...and that my granddaughters have a father that honors their mother and adores them!
