Day 14... Today I am thankful for my parents. You know how when you are a teenager and you think your parents just don't get how awesome you are... and that the world should revolve entirely around you. Yaaaaa... and then you leave home and have to pay your own bills, and wash your own underwear, and make your own dinner? You know that moment when you realize just how much they have always done for you... and how much they must love you...and how awesome being a kid is?
My parents... they are the best grandparents in the whole wide world. They would do ANYTHING for their grand kids... and I mean anything! They live 40 minutes south of us, and yet if we tell them the kids are participating in something, they wouldn't be anywhere else! Once a month one of the grand kids gets a date with them. They used to take them to Hill Air Force base to go grocery shopping with them and then they would get to pick a toy at the exchange... can you imagine CHOOSING to take a 5 year old grocery shopping with you?! Now they let the kids choose. They get pedicures, or go shopping, or take them to a movie. It is so cool! I know that my girls have made so many memories with Grandma and Grandpa King... and they adore them.
